This seasons catwalk trends will be interpreted the world over with every city putting their own slant on the looks they have just witnessed on the runways.
London is one of the edgiest cities in the world in terms of fashion so it comes as no surprise to see catwalk beauty broken down into four of the most extreme trends that are not for the faint hearted.
Here they are:
THE SEX DOLL
Seen on the runways of: Alexander McQueen, Prada and Miu Miu
Skin is very pale (think gothic/vampire) with a matt finish
Lips are bright red and outlined in true clown fashion.
No eyebrow or eyelash definition - this look is pure shock value best left to clubbers and street performers.
GRUNGE GIRL
Seen on the runways of: Versace, Twenty 8 Twelve and DSquared
Barely there foundation, pale moisturized lips topped off with short dark and preferably chipped nail polish to make the look utterly convincing.
This look is more wearable than it sounds and can be attempted by most age groups minus the chipped nails.
THE DISCO DIVA
Seen on the runways of: Kinder Aggugini Nathan Jenden and Marc Jacobs
Experimentation with color eighties style – the more intense the lip shade the better. Pair it with eye popping shadow in the fluorescent color range and you will have nailed this look.
Personally I think the only good thing to come out of the eighties was the music – the make-up and hair should remain in the historic vault that it belongs in.
GOLDEN GLAMOUR
Seen on the runways of: Chloe, Jean Paul Gautier and Bottega Veneta
Big shiny hair, eyes are soft and smoky in gold tones but color is swept up to the eyebrow for more drama. Pale lips finish this look.
Very wearable indeed – the devil is in the interpretation!
