Round up of beauty Spring Summer 2010

Dollywood – also referred to as The Sex Doll

This look is extreme. Skin is very pale with a matt finish. Lips or eyes are brightly painted in an ultra feminine OTT way. At times the lashes are over exaggerated and drawn on for a “Barbie still in her box” feel.

Tom Boy

Some of the most in demand models on the catwalks this season were sporting chic cropped haircuts. Iris Stubegger, Tao Okamoto and Ranya Mordanova graced the runways of Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Givenchy and Chanel. Make-up was kept to a minimum to enforce the androgynous feel.

Magenta Madness

From a glamorous forties pout to a glossy disco sheen, magenta madness is all about the lips. But fear not, the shades vary from magenta and orange to raspberry and cherry so this look really can suit us all. Skin, cheeks and eyes are kept to a minimum to really let the lips take center stage.

Golden Glamour

Lazy summer days inspired this sun kissed palette. Big shiny hair, soft smoky eyes in gold and lavender tones. What really pulled this look together was the bleached eyebrows – at times extreme but not always.

Grunge girl – also referred to as Sisters Grim

Inspired by Tim Burton mania – this gothic fairy tale look was evident in both colors and textures. From blues and greens used on the eyes to matt nail polish in black, even the hair had a matt texture. Skin is kept clean and pale.
