Go nude is the order of the day – barely there make-up with nude lips – now before you start to panic at the thought of your features disappearing into the back of beyond here is the color life line all of our faces need – the nude spectrum is being paired with hues of deep purple, crimson, navy blue, black and grey – all totally wearable for the likes of the average Jo-anne on the street (that’s me and you)
Of course these runway looks are taken to the extreme – lips are colored with matt foundation to make the models appear alien-like and the eyes are smudged in lashings of color rather heavy handedly - this is to add to the stage presence of the models and should not be replicated for your trip to work on the train – unless you really really want the attention!
Here’s how to make it current and wearable:
Go for smoky eyes in crimsons and navy blue, but remember keep it subtle for day time and build it up for drinks or a party at night.
Pair with a beautiful nude lipstick in subtle tones of caramel or peach that will add life to your skin and lips rather than taking it away.
