Model, Iris Strubegger’s meteoric rise to fame was in part due to her hair. Not because she has luscious long silky locks that every hair company sells us as the benchmark of beauty, but because she allowed hairdresser, Didier Malige to cut off her long locks and buzz off the sides, transforming her image and giving her a sexy tough edge with a nineties androgynous feel.
It was this image that she graced the cover of French Vogue last year. “It’s sort of funky, but it can also be elegant” Strubegger says of her cut. “Now people see me as a special character that they can work with. There are so many girls with long blonde hair, sometimes its also good to have some new inspiration and new ideas”.
She walked in 56 shows for Spring 2010, opening Marc Jacobs,Dolce & Gabbana and Lanvin and closing for Rodarte, Isaac Mizrahi and Bottega Veneta, clearly sexy tough is in high demand!
